A contract of concession was granted to a distinguished client of Mackean, aiming at establishing and managing the Athar El Naby River Port in Cairo. The purpose of the concession was to erect the first river port specified to receiving and consigning forwarded oversees/inland cargo, delivering them to and from customers beyond the sea ports/borders. The concession included, in addition tot he main task, plans related to dredging the navigation path, the renovation of the river locks and the installation of the respective buoys. Mackean Law Firm contributed to the preparation and phrasing of the relevant contract of concession. Later a dispute arose between the aforementioned client and the River Transport Authority. Mackean Law Firm handled the respective Arbitration Case.
